G05. Convergence with different initial conditions
The purpose of this series of tests is to verify whether the converged result
is independent of Initial conditions and numerics (such as resolution).
It is seen that the spectra converge to one and the same limiting spectrum.
Due to relatively crude iteration termination criteria the iteration stops before
very close agreement is reached.
The agreement is worst if the Initial wave field is almost perpendicular to
the wind direction. The quantity where the differences ar the largest is the
average direction of the limit spectrum.
The results are inspected by means of plots G05b.spl and G05c.spl.
2 series of runs are made:
- G05a1 .. G05a7
- Runs with option NOUPDATE to verify whether initial conditions are correctly
- G05b1 .. G05b7
- series of runs with different average directions of the initial spectrum;
the directions are 0°, 30°, 60°, 90°, 120°, 150°, 180°.
